Terms of Service

Last Updated: February 4, 2026

The short version

Siylis is currently in beta. Use it for what it's good at, don't use it for anything illegal, and understand that AI-generated content isn't professional advice. Your data is yours. We can update these terms, and we'll tell you when we do. The full version is below.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Siylis ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. It's that simple.

These terms form a legal agreement between you and Siylis. We've tried to keep them readable, but they are binding.

2. Description of Service

Siylis is a conversational intelligence that stores context from your conversations to provide continuity. The Service includes:

The Service is currently in beta. This means features may change, break, or be removed. We're building actively and openly. Beta doesn't mean careless — it means evolving.

3. Account Registration

To use Siylis, you must create an account. You agree to:

You are responsible for all activity under your account. One person, one account — don't create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.

4. Acceptable Use

Use Siylis for its intended purpose. Don't use it to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We don't police conversations — but if abuse comes to our attention, we act.

5. AI-Generated Content

Content generated through Siylis is produced by AI language models. You acknowledge that:

6. Intellectual Property

Your content: You own your memories, your conversations, and your data. We don't claim any intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited license to process and store your content solely to provide the Service.

Our service: The Siylis platform, interface, branding, and underlying technology are our intellectual property. Using the Service doesn't grant you rights to our code, design, or brand beyond normal use of the product.

AI-generated content: Ownership of AI-generated content is a legally evolving area. We do not claim ownership of AI outputs generated through Siylis. The intellectual property implications of AI-generated content may vary by jurisdiction.

7. Privacy

Your privacy matters. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. It explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights over your data. Read it — it's written in plain language.

8. Service Availability

Siylis is in beta. We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee:

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime or significant changes. We will not disappear without warning.

9. Termination

By you: You can delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed per our Privacy Policy.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate your account without cause, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data.

We don't terminate accounts to be punitive. We terminate accounts when there's a real reason.

10. Disclaimers

11. Limitation of Liability

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations. In those cases, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Siylis, its operators, and contributors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

If you disagree with updated Terms, your remedy is to stop using the Service and delete your account. We won't trap you.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If we can't resolve it informally within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in California.

You agree to resolve disputes individually. Class actions and class arbitrations are not permitted under these Terms.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for urgent matters such as intellectual property infringement or security threats.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.
