What is Siylis?

Siylis is a memory layer for AI conversations. It sits between you and whatever AI model you're talking to, remembering context across sessions so you don't have to repeat yourself every time you start a new chat. Your memory is encrypted, portable, and yours — it works across models and platforms, and you decide what gets stored.

How do I create an account?

Head to siylis.com and sign up with your email. You'll get a verification link — click it, set your preferences, and you're in. No phone number. No social login required. Just an email and a password.

Is Siylis free?

The core memory system is free to use. We offer a built-in AI chat so you can start immediately without any API keys. If you want to use your own API key for a specific model, you can — but it's not required. We'll be transparent about any paid tiers if and when they exist.

How does memory work?

When you have a conversation through Siylis, the system identifies information worth remembering — things like your preferences, ongoing projects, or context you've shared. These get stored as discrete memories tied to your account. Next time you start a conversation, relevant memories are pulled in automatically so the AI has context about you. You can review, edit, or delete any memory at any time.

What is opacity?

Opacity is a control you have over how much memory context gets shared with the AI in a given conversation. Think of it like a dial: turn it up, and the AI gets more of your stored context. Turn it down, and it knows less. Full opacity means the AI gets no memory at all — a clean slate. It's there because sometimes you want continuity, and sometimes you want a fresh start. Your call.

Can I delete memories?

Yes. You can delete individual memories, clear entire categories, or wipe everything. Deletion is real — not a soft archive, not a flag in a database. When you delete a memory, it's gone. We don't keep shadow copies.

Privacy & Security
Is my data safe?

Your memories are encrypted at rest. We don't train models on your data. We don't sell it. We don't read it. The system is designed so that your memory serves you — not our business model. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Do you share data with third parties?

No. Your memory data is never shared with third parties for advertising, analytics, or model training. When you chat with an AI model through Siylis, your conversation is sent to that model's API to generate a response — that's the nature of how AI works. But your stored memories, your account information, and your usage patterns stay with us, and "with us" means locked down.

How do I delete my account?

Go to your account settings and select "Delete Account." This removes your account, your memories, and your conversation history. It's permanent. If you want a copy of your data before you go, you can export it first. We process deletion requests promptly — we don't hold your data hostage to make you stay.

Technical
Which AI models does Siylis support?

Siylis works with multiple AI models. We provide a built-in model so you can start chatting right away. You can also connect your own API key for models like those from OpenAI, Anthropic, or other providers. The memory layer works the same regardless of which model you're talking to — that's the point.

Why is the AI sometimes inaccurate?

AI models generate responses based on patterns, not understanding. They can be wrong, imprecise, or confidently incorrect. Siylis adds memory, not infallibility. The memory system helps the AI know about you, but it doesn't fix the fundamental limitations of language models. Always verify important information independently. AI output is not professional advice — not medical, legal, financial, or otherwise.

What browsers are supported?

Siylis works in modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend keeping your browser up to date. Mobile browsers are supported. Internet Explorer is not.

Troubleshooting
I didn't receive my verification email.

Check your spam or junk folder first. Some email providers delay delivery by a few minutes. If it's been more than 15 minutes, try requesting a new verification email from the login page. Still nothing? Contact us at support@siylis.com and we'll sort it out.

The chat isn't responding.

A few things to check:

  • Refresh the page. Sometimes connections drop.
  • Check your API key (if you're using your own). Make sure it's valid and has available credits.
  • Try a shorter message. Very long inputs can occasionally cause timeouts.
  • Check our status. If the service is experiencing issues, we'll communicate that.

I forgot my password.

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. We'll send a reset link to your email. The link expires after a reasonable window, so use it promptly. If you're not receiving the reset email, check your spam folder or contact support@siylis.com.
